Description

TASTING NOTE

The 2022 was less macerated in order to gain the fresh and fruity aroma from Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc. On the nose a dominant impression of tropical fruit, citrus notes accompanied by a rush of tomatoes.

PRODUCER

Natural wines from a single vineyard crafted by a family-run Winery for 60 years. Vineyards are on Golden Hills near Smederevo, Serbia. This region has a long history of viticulture since Roman times up to date, and Smederevo wines were recognized as the highest quality premium wines at the Bordeaux World Exhibition in 1882.

Panjkovic Winery has combined careful viticulture with minimal alteration of natural processes in winemaking to preserve the taste of the terroir that has been cherished for centuries.

VINEYARD INFORMATION

A single vineyard on the slope that has a decline of 33m overlooking the Danube River and Pannonian plane (former sea), provides a mild climate with double sun as reflected from the Danube and taking heavy storms from this area. Cold nights give a fresh aroma and warm days give sugar and body.

Mineral terrain with good soil composition has been excellent for vineyards since Roman times.

Smederevo region was recognized as having high-quality wines at the 1882 wine exhibition in Bordeaux.
